How to deal with an emergency roofing repair

When is an emergency roof repair required?
An emergency roof repair is required when any fault is found that could cause harm to a person or property. Basic roof precautions before the Storm Hits

You should check your roof visually, perhaps with a pair of binoculars, for any damages such as loose or missing tiles and slates. If you do spot any damages to the tiles on your roof, these should be replaced as soon as possible.

How do I Pay?
Once an emergency repair has been carried out, an invoice will be sent to you via post or e-mail, whichever is best suited for you. You should then simply submit it to your insurance company along with your claim form and ask them to pay us direct. This will usually take no more than two weeks.
Choosing the right roofing contractor in an emergency
Never employ a door-knocker. Door-knockers have horrendous reputations for being cowboys. They generally do not give you a proper receipt, and will always ask for cash.
Be wary of leaflet drops with just a mobile number and no address. If it has an address, do thorough research before you agree to pay for their service.
Never pay cash for a service without a receipt. If the contractor’s work is substandard, where is your proof?
Your insurance company will only pay out on an official receipt and invoice.
Always use a roofing contractor that has public liability insurance. If they don’t, and damages are caused to your property, who will pay?
